Andalusian Horses

Andalusian horses are famous all over the world. In the 16th century the lineage of horses was officially establshed and rules set up to keep the Andalusian breed pure. The Carthusian breed definetly represents the pure Spanish horses.

In 1973, Alvaro Domecq, a very popular rejoneador - bullfighter on horse -, created the Fundación Real Escuela Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre in Jerez.

Every day there are shows in which we can see the horses dance to Spanish and clasical musical.

There is also a part of the Fundación dedicated to the history of horses in Andalusia. Another part is dedicated to theAndalusian Horses history of carriages, staruing over 4500 years ago and ending in our days.

You can also visit the stalls where the horses are kept.
